Hello, my name is Ellington and I’m a student studying Digital Audience at Arizona State University (ASU). I am a professional ballet dancer with a company called Ballet 5:8 which is based out of Chicago. I have this wonderful opportunity to study digital behavior and media because I work at Starbucks and I’m a part of their SCAP program. 

I have dedicated most of my time to training for dance and even moved to NYC my senior year of high school to further that passion. Throughout my dance training and career, I have realized that social media and digital marketing play a huge role in the arts and how well they are funded and viewed. Since ballet is a very niche art and doesn’t always get highlighted like other professions or sports, I want to be able to use my knowledge of digital audiences to better the culture of dance.
